PersonaGen is operated by PersonaGen Ltd ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our synthetic persona generation API and related services.

PersonaGen provides an API service that generates synthetic demographic personas for research, testing, and development purposes. The Service creates statistically grounded fictional profiles that do not represent real individuals.

All personas generated are synthetic combinations of demographic attributes based on statistical correlations from publicly available data sources. No real personal data is used or stored in the generation process.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use generated personas to make decisions about real individuals or groups
• Use the Service for discriminatory purposes or to reinforce harmful stereotypes
• Attempt to reverse engineer or replicate the Service
• Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Exceed rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions
• Use the Service for spam, harassment, or malicious activities

Free tier users receive 1,000 requests per month. Rate limits reset monthly and are designed to support development and small-scale testing. Commercial usage may require upgraded plans.

API keys are provided for authentication and usage tracking. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure and for all activities that occur under your account.

PersonaGen does not collect, store, or process personal data of real individuals. All generated personas are synthetic and do not correspond to actual people.

We may collect basic usage analytics (API call frequency, error rates) for service improvement. No generated persona data is stored beyond the immediate request-response cycle.

The PersonaGen API, underlying algorithms, and documentation are proprietary to PersonaGen Ltd. Generated personas may be used freely in your applications, but the Service itself remains our intellectual property.

You retain rights to applications and products you create using our API, but you may not redistribute or resell raw persona data without explicit permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

Generated personas are statistical approximations and should not be treated as accurate representations of real demographic patterns for critical decision-making.

IN NO EVENT SHALL PERSONAGEN LTD BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the preceding twelve months.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by ceasing to use your API key. Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users when possible.
